Thinking
If I spent as much time making clothes as I do shopping for clothes I'm pretty sure I'd have more clothes.

Thinking
So far, Florida has not been my favorite place to live. But sometimes other places are getting pelted with rain, chilly winds, and even snow but I can look up and think, "yeah, this isn't so bad."

Exactly what is the purpose of the tongue in a tennis shoe?
My kid won't wear this perfectly adorable, well-fitting, SPARKLY pair of sneaks because the base of the tongue wrinkles and hurts her.

Surely there is a way to fix this tongue problem. I mean, how can I let something covered in pink glitter go unworn?

Sometimes, when I visit the beach, I look at the people around me and really hope burqinis catch on.

I could never be a restaurant owner because there are people on this earth who DO NOT THINK AVOCADOS ARE DELICIOUS.

Whenever Googlemaps tells you you will need to make a U-turn to reach your destination it should include a rating that indicates how likely you are to die while making a U-turn at that particular intersection.

Do animals worry? Last night on Planet Earth there was big grass fire that wiped out miles worth of food for a herd of antelope. So, do the antelope worry? Do they wake up and think, "how will I feed my kids this week?"

The thing with small towns is you can never make them any bigger. Big cities, however, can be as small as you want them to be. You never really have to leave a certain area. Somehow that's comforting.

School Daze Ahead
Tomorrow I start the spring semester. Holy crap! Tomorrow I start the spring semester. I am so freaked out. What if I am older than everyone and get stuck doing group projects with 18 year-olds who don't care about school? What if I'm late? What if my job keeps taking me for granted and I stretch myself even thinner to keep them all happy? What if I can't handle a full class load? What if I forget to put on pants and go to class like that and they all laugh and point and then make me perform songs from Madame Butterfly?

Okay, three things. 1. There is no reason to wear a teal blue wool scarf with a pink sundress. To a bar. In Texas. At the end of June! It is about as cute as it is practical. 2. Along the same lines, please shoot me if I ever go to one of my SUMMER classes wearing velour pajama pants. It is hot here in the summer. Plus, don't people know the difference between lounge wear and what is acceptable for the public eye? 3. Shearling trimmed suede Ugs are not rain boots. They just aren't.

If I am the person I want to be will that make me feel better when you are not?

I love that I decided to wear a swishy skirt today. It kind of makes me want to twirl in circles, but I've refrained thus far.
Have I mentioned lately that I love school? Not so much the actual calculus portion, but I really really like being a student. I love how pretty campus is. And I like all the people rushing around or moseying. I can't wait for fall when its just a crush of people. It cracks me up that every class has a bombshell in it. I mean most folk show up in their pjs or college student standard grubbies, but there is always that one girl all made up, coiffed, and trendy. I adore walking past jeans and boots followed by a mohawk (yeah, that's rare here, but I think its fantastic every time).
The best part of today was this guy who walked in wearing a shirt that says "I'm a keeper."
